body. Whitechapel College is an accredited centre for the
EDEXCEL in respect of this course.
About the course:
The
course is a UK Government’s National Qualifications
Framework Level 7. This course provides specialist
work-related programmes of study that cover the key
knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in
the management sector.
Who is it for ?
This
course is for those who wish to develop their skills and/or
wish to progress to the Higher Education in the UK
universities such as MBA.
The
qualification also for those who wish to change career or
move into employment in management following a career break.
Career Opportunity
On successful completion of the
Advanced professional Diploma the candidates pursue careers
in many areas, such as Administrative
Assistant/Administrator, Civil Service Officer, Local
Government Administrator, Manager and/or Supervisor/team
Leader.
Overseas students may apply for the Post Study Work (PSW)
to work full time in the United Kingdom.

Course
Structure:
Students are required to complete three compulsory units and
additionally another six units from the option group below:
(total 9 units required to complete to obtain an award on
this course)

Unit 2: Managing change in organisations
Unit 3: Managing research project and presentation
Option group (any six out of sixteen)
The College may choose the six units because of
availability of lecturer)

Unit 5: Managing financial principles and techniques
Unit 6: Human resource planning and development
Unit 7: Management in the wider environment
Unit 8: Leadership of your organisation
Unit 9: Culture climate values
Unit 10: Management research methods

Unit 13: The creative manager

Examinations:
Examinations take place at Whitechapel College in June and
December every year

Tuition and study
The course is taught full time
and/or on a part time basis by formal lectures and directed
study. Classes are provided for 15 hours a week
comprising 2 days of lectures and a half-day tutorial,
directed study and/or examination preparation.
Full time classes take place
between 10.00am and 5.00pm and part-time classes take place
on Monday and/or Tuesday between 6.00pm and 9.00pm. Part
time weekend classes are available only on Saturday between
2.00pm and 5.00pm.

Exemptions
Learners may claim
exemption from some of the requirements for credit
achievement if they have previously achieved qualifications
or other awards (or components of these awards) before
undertaking the qualification.
